COUNTER COVER 27

Serrano embroidery was made on linen canvas (taffeta), on which it is possible to count the threads to make any iconographic element using a wide variety of stitches.

The central Greek motifs and keys that follow the outer edges of the fabric (which can be larger or smaller depending on the cloth’s purpose) are clearly symmetrical. These motifs were drawn by master embroiderers, who composed them for the rest of the embroiderers to materialize.
