THE TROUT
Trouts, the most common type of fish in the Sierra de Francia, are usually embroidered both in the corners and in the central areas of the cloth, although most of the time they appear chained by a wavy branch along with other alternating motifs to create Greek keys.
This animal has a strong symbolic value that is clearly visible in the silver-plated trout, a widespread children’s amulet in the Sierra de Francia.
